Join us for a business networking and learning session on the role of Leadership.Gallup state that focusing on your weaknesses is not a strategy for success. Instead, your greatest chance to succeed — at work or anywhere else — lies in strengthening what you naturally do best and doing more of it. A strengths-based approach looks at what is right with people, as opposed to spending time, energy and usually hefty sums of money in working on one's weaknesses.This session will cover the basics of Strengths, unpack what a Strengths-based approach could mean for you and your team or colleagues. We'll also look at how you can discover your Strengths and in turn, work through those Strengths to execute work, build relationships, influence others and think more strategically.Presented by Lorissa Garcia.The workshop will begin at 10:30 am. Prior to commencement, attendees are welcome to a 30-minute networking brunch.-About Lorissa:Since securing her first part time job at 15, Lorissa has always had a side hustle – a way to make life and work seem more interesting and challenging. Her portfolio career has enabled her to work with numerous big name organisations, some amazing (and not so amazing) leaders, and some fascinating projects. She has been able to see and understand organisations from every angle and across many levels, from graduates to CEO’s, front line workers to the Board room.With a Masters degree in Leadership & Innovation, qualifications and certifications as a Coach, as well as being Gallup trained as a CliftonStrengths coach, Certified in Emotional Culture and an enormous amount of real-life experience to support her studies,   she is passionate about working in the people space and the behaviours that drive success for individuals and collectively for organisations.She thrives on having intelligent, authentic conversations about how workplaces can be better, and supporting leaders and organisations to enhance their culture and capability claiming that when she is in this zone the hours fly by like minutes!
